Dell'Oro Group, which provides market information on the networking and telecommunications industries, announced that it has enhanced its reporting on the 10 Gbps Ethernet or “10GE” segment of the Ethernet Switch market.
The new coverage provides better insight into this fastest growing area in data center networking.

The report states that less than half of the current Ethernet Switch vendors offer purpose built 10GE ToR solutions. This has grown more than 300 percent year-over-year in the second quarter of this year. It is predicted that it will exceed a half a billion dollars in the year 2010.
Arista, Blade, Brocade (News - Alert), Cisco, Dell, Extreme, Force 10, HP, and Juniper are the currently included vendors in the space.
