In 25 interviews with Juniper channel partners, Oppenheimer says Juniper’s fourth quarter enterprise sales are in line or slightly better due to improved spending and closure of some large deals before year’s end. The worldwide market for network security appliances and software grew 7% between the second and third quarters to $1.26 billion, according to Infonetics Research.

Ericsson announced this week that it was selected by AT&T as one of its “domain” suppliers, specifically for wireline access. AT&T domains are 8 to 15 areas within its service network where it will select two strategic vendors to provide infrastructure. Read more
Data center switch maker BLADE Network Technologies got another $10 million injection in its B round of funding. Backers in this round included OEM customers Juniper Networks and NEC, and a third “technology powerhouse” acting as a silent investor.
